Giant Waves Up to 6.5 Meters to Hit Morocco’s Atlantic Coast

Dangerous northwest to north waves will hit the Atlantic coasts between Cap Spartel and Tarfaya this Thursday, January 30, with significant heights of 4 to 6.5 meters, the Ministry of Equipment and Water has just warned.
Waves of a height of 4 to 6.5 meters will rage on the Atlantic coast, from Cap Spartel, next to Tangier, to Tarfaya, in the south. These waves will be spaced 10 to 15 seconds apart. The highest heights are expected in the morning and afternoon, between Mehdia and Safi, the ministry specifies in a press release.
High tides will fluctuate between 2.90 and 3.90 m on Thursday, between 3:30 and 4:00 a.m., as well as between 3:50 and 4:30 p.m. in the afternoon, the same source said.
The improvement is expected on Friday, January 31 in the morning on the northern coasts of Cap Ghir and on Saturday, February 1 in the south, the same source specifies, according to which additional details will be the subject of upcoming weather alert bulletins.
