Strong Wind Gusts Prompt Orange Alert in Northern Morocco

A new weather alert in Morocco. The National Meteorology Directorate (DMN) reported locally strong wind gusts, of orange level, expected on Friday and Saturday in several prefectures and provinces of the Kingdom.
Several provinces are affected by these wind gusts with speeds of 75 to 95 km/h, from Friday at 00:00 to Saturday at 14:00. These are Tanger-Asilah, Fahs-Anjra, M’diq-Fnideq, Tétouan, Taza, Chefchaoun, Al Hoceima, Nador and Larache, specifies the DMN in a special bulletin.
Other moderate wind gusts (60 to 70 km/h) are also expected on Friday between 10:00 and 18:00 on the coasts north of El Jadida, the Saiss, Oulmès, and the Gharb.
And as if that were not enough, moderate to locally heavy rains are also expected on Friday in Chefchaoun, Ouezzane, Al Hoceima, Taounate, Tétouan and Larache, the DMN statement points out.
