Massive Pro-Palestinian Rally in Casablanca Denounces Israeli Actions in Gaza

Responding to the call of the "Moroccan Front for Support to Palestine and the Fight against Normalization", the many demonstrators chanted slogans hostile to Israel and expressed their solidarity with "the Palestinian resistance". They also denounced the acts committed by the Israeli army in Gaza, killing "innocent civilians", without failing to renew their "rejection of normalization" of relations between Morocco and the "Zionist entity".

Health professionals and lawyers in robes took part in this demonstration to denounce the lack of justice and equality in this war, as well as the attacks of the Israeli army on health facilities, the killing or assault of health professionals and the violation of the right of the Palestinian people to benefit from medical care and to supply themselves with medicines, fuel and food.

Mustapha Chennaoui, a left-wing activist and former MP, told Hespress that he participated in this march as a health professional "to underline the solidarity of the Moroccan medical community with their colleagues in Gaza, and to also confirm the unwavering support alongside the right of the Palestinian people to medicine, freedom and the construction of their independent state".

"What the occupation army has committed in Palestine since the Nakba has now taken on a savage turn that goes beyond all red lines; we are facing an ethnic cleansing that cannot be tolerated at all," continued the activist, stating that "the occupation has trampled on all international laws and is now committing undisputed war crimes, as well as flagrant crimes against humanity", which cannot go unpunished.
