Thousands March in Casablanca Against Morocco-Israel Ties, Gaza War

Thousands of people demonstrated on Sunday in the streets of Casablanca against the normalization of relations between Morocco and Israel and to denounce the "genocide" of Israel in the Gaza Strip.
"Stop the genocide war against Gaza, open the Rafah terminal and close the Zionist liaison office in Rabat," chanted the protesters throughout the march that began on Avenue Al Fidaa and ended on Avenue Ouled Ziane in Casablanca.
Initiated by the Moroccan Front for Support to Palestine and Against Normalization, with the support of the Islamist movement Justice and Charity (Al adl wal Ihssane), the demonstration aims to demand once again the rupture of relations between Morocco and Israel, normalized in December 2020 within the framework of the Abraham Accords, under the aegis of the United States.
On the banners held by the demonstrators, we could read messages such as "Down with normalization", "Bombing children is not self-defense", "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free", "Police state and Zionist protection" or "Gaza, symbol of pride".
On October 15, tens of thousands of people had also demonstrated in Rabat, in protest against Israel’s retaliation for the Hamas attack in the Gaza Strip.
