Massive Fire Engulfs Agadir’s Largest Market, Destroying Auto Parts Section

The largest market in the city of Agadir caught fire on the evening of Monday, October 7. A huge fire broke out in the area reserved for automotive parts, causing panic among the residents.
According to the local authorities, no loss of human life was recorded, but the fire caused significant material damage. A large part of the scrap metal market was destroyed by the flames.
The origin of the fire could not be determined, although witnesses attribute responsibility to a security guard, who, by throwing his cigarette, would have started the fire.
It took several hours for the Civil Protection elements to bring the fire under control.
Of course, an investigation has been opened by the police to determine the exact circumstances of this fire.
