Tragic Fire Claims 5-Year-Old’s Life in Salé, Morocco

The story of little Hiba, who died devoured by the flames, under the stunned gaze of the residents, was repeated this Monday, February 17, in the early afternoon. A 5-year-old child could not escape the fire that broke out in the family home in Salé.
With his parents absent at the time of the fire, the child was surrounded by the giant flames that ravaged the furniture before quickly spreading throughout the apartment, located in the Tabriquet district.
Several units of the Civil Protection tried to intervene. It took them hours to bring the fire under control, the origin of which remains undetermined.
The fire takes us back 6 months, more precisely on August 4, 2019, when little Hiba had been devoured by the flames of a fire, while she was clinging to the window grilles.
