Massive Drug Bust: Over 4.6 Tons of Cannabis Seized in Moroccan Coastal City

The elements of the regional police station of the city of Assilah thwarted, on Wednesday evening, an international drug trafficking operation and seized 4.60 tons of cannabis resin.
The operation set up by the elements of the General Directorate of National Security made it possible to carry out searches on the Assilah corniche and to seize 117 bales, two inflatable boats, four engines and 52 jerrycans containing 1,560 liters of fuel, indicates a press release from the DGSN.
According to the same press release, the judicial police brigade of Assilah opened an investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office in order to determine the circumstances of this case and to identify all the accomplices of these criminal acts.
