Massive Drug Bust in Morocco: 200kg Cannabis, Cocaine Seized Near Agadir

An individual was arrested on Wednesday in Agadir for his alleged involvement in a case of possession and trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances.
The joint operation, carried out by the prefectural judicial police service of Agadir, in collaboration with the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), led to the seizure of 200 kg of cannabis and 20 kg of kif, as well as 150 grams of cocaine, at the Tikiwin checkpoint, on the outskirts of Agadir, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The goods were carefully hidden in vegetable crates in the freight transport vehicle of the 35-year-old suspect, coming from a city in the north of the kingdom.
Furthermore, the research and investigations carried out as part of this case led to the arrest of two other people in a rental car, who were about to receive part of the seized drug shipment.
For the needs of the investigation, all the defendants were taken into custody.
