Major Drug Bust: Over 130 kg Seized at Tangier Port in International Trafficking Operation

An attempt at international drug trafficking from the fishing port of the city of Tangier was thwarted on Sunday.
The operation, carried out by the judicial police elements of Tangier and their counterparts in Tetouan, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), made it possible, on Sunday, to seize two utility vehicles, according to a press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The loads of the two vehicles are estimated at more than 130 kg and were intended for a fishing boat used in international drug trafficking operations.
The investigation led to the arrest of an individual in the Fnideq region, near Tetouan, suspected of being directly involved in the organization of this criminal activity.
For the needs of the investigation, the defendant was placed in custody.
