Massive Drug Bust: 920 kg of Cannabis Seized at Tangier Port

Inspection and border control operations on Thursday led to the seizure of 920 kg of cannabis resin hidden in the roof of a utility vehicle, registered abroad and about to board for a European country.
The operation was carried out on Thursday by elements of the national security and customs services operating at the port of Tangier-Med. In a statement, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) said the driver was arrested.
He is a 42-year-old Moroccan who was taken into custody, pending the results of the preliminary investigation conducted by the judicial police. As for the seized drugs, they were handed over to the customs administration, the DGSN said.
