Massive Cocaine Shipment Bound for Antwerp Seized at Moroccan Port

The shipment of 1,355 kg of drugs seized on board a Brazilian cruise ship at the Tanger Med port was destined for the port of Antwerp.
More details are known about the thwarted drug trafficking attempt by the police elements at the Tanger Med port. According to the details provided by Belga, the Brazilian cruise ship was bound for Belgium, specifically the port of Antwerp.
To recall, the cargo was discovered on Monday by the police services at the Tanger Med port after suspecting a container on board a cruise ship that had left Brazil, according to the DGSN.
The searches carried out by the canine brigade made it possible to discover a cargo of drugs, carefully packaged and hidden in 40 suitcases.
An investigation has been opened "with a view to identifying all the persons linked to this criminal network involved in the attempted trafficking of cocaine shipments, as well as its regional and international ramifications," the statement concluded.
