Massive Cannabis Bust: Moroccan Customs Seize 2.4 Tons in Al Hoceima

2.443 tons of cannabis resin divided into 91 packages of different shapes were seized on Saturday by customs elements in Al Hoceima.
The health crisis and the restrictions it imposes do not discourage traffickers at all. Colonel Abdelkader Battani, regional commander of the customs brigades in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, stressed that the utility vehicle transporting this large quantity of cannabis resin fell into a well-prepared ambush by the customs services, reports the MAP.
The customs elements, based on received information, were waiting on the national road No. 16 connecting Al Jebha to Al Hoceima at the level of the rural commune of Rouadi, about 35 km from Al Hoceima. According to Colonel Battani, apart from the seizure of more than two tons of cannabis resin, no arrests were made, indicates the same source.
