Marseille’s Ounahi Rejects Moroccan Club Offer, Seeks European Future

While his future remains unclear, the Olympique de Marseille (OM) midfielder Azzedine Ounahi does not want to sign just anywhere and has even turned down an offer from Morocco.
Revelation of the 2022 World Cup with Morocco, Azzedine Ounahi has not been able to establish himself at Marseille, notably due to injuries. He is not in the plans of the new coach, Roberto De Zerbi. The Moroccan midfielder has received offers from Saudi clubs, but he seems to prefer to stay in Europe. He is still looking for a way out.
Hicham Aït Menna, the new president of Wydad of Casablanca whose ambition is to make the club shine, which has gone through a difficult period, is showing interest in Ounahi. On Radio Mars, he said he had contacted the sports advisor of Olympique de Marseille Medhi Benatia in order to be able to recruit the Moroccan international still under contract with OM, but the 24-year-old player does not intend to play for the WAC. He declined the offer from the WAC, added Aït Menna.
