Moroccan World Cup Star Ounahi Linked with Las Palmas Move as Marseille Exit Looms

As Olympique de Marseille continues its summer transfer market with new signings, the departure of Moroccan international Azzedine Ounahi seems imminent. The player could join a forgotten member of the national team.
Revelation of the 2022 World Cup with Morocco, the midfielder has not confirmed the hopes placed in him at Marseille. Despite 21 Ligue 1 matches played this season, his performances have not convinced the new coach, Roberto De Zerbi, who does not count on him for next season.
In recent weeks, rumors of a departure have intensified. The Qatari club Al-Sadd had already shown interest in the player’s profile. According to the Spanish media Relevo, it is now Las Palmas who would have made an offer for a loan. The Canarian club wants to take advantage of Ounahi’s good reputation in Spain, especially after his excellent match against the Spanish national team at the World Cup. If the transfer is confirmed, Ounahi could join Munir El Haddadi, a Moroccan international who has been ignored by Walid Regragui.
The amount of the offer has not been leaked, but it seems that all parties are willing to reach an agreement before the end of the transfer window.
Arrived at Olympique de Marseille during the winter transfer window for 8 million euros thanks to his participation in the 2022 Qatar World Cup, punctuated by a semi-final, Azzedine Ounahi has failed to shine in the Phocaean city. OM expects to receive an offer of 12 million euros to sell its midfielder to a European heavyweight.
