Moroccan Star Ounahi Set for Panathinaikos Debut in Greek Super League
Moroccan international Azzedine Ounahi could make his debut with his new club, Panathinaikos, on Sunday against Panserraikos.
According to the Greek newspaper Ola Prasina, Ounahi could be in the starting lineup against Panserraikos this Sunday at the Odypos stadium. Uruguayan coach Diego Alonso is seriously considering starting the Atlas Lion for this match, the same source reports.
"Following the arrival of the Moroccan international, who is considered one of the major transfers of the summer, the team’s technical staff has expressed its conviction in his preparation and his ability to make an immediate contribution to the club," it is indicated.
The Uruguayan coach plans to line up Ounahi as a "number 8" to animate the midfield and create opportunities for the attack, or as a "number 10" to play the role of striker to help Panathinaikos break through the opposing defense.
With Ounahi, Panathinaikos hopes to offer a more offensive and more organized performance against Panserraikos. Diego Alonso wants to be able to count on the Moroccan international to win the victory, highlighting the ex-Olympique de Marseille player’s ability to find solutions on the offensive and defensive levels.
