Moroccan Star Ounahi Impresses in Panathinaikos Debut Victory

Moroccan international Azzedine Ounahi made his debut with Panathinaikos last Sunday against Panserraikos and contributed to the Greek club’s victory (3-1).
Barely arrived in Greece, Azzedine Ounahi is already making an impression. For his first official appearance with Panathinaikos, he handled himself rather well. The Moroccan international did not score a goal or provide an assist, but he showed that he has the qualities required to establish himself as an important element in Diego Alonso’s starting lineup. Ounahi’s performance in Panathinaikos’ victory over Panserraikos (3-1) was important during the match, comments Sport24, before providing some statistics on the Atlas Lion’s performance during the game.
Starter for 87 minutes, he touched the ball 112 times, recording 68 accurate passes out of 77 attempts (an 88% success rate). He also created 3 important chances for his teammates and attempted 4 set pieces, one of which was successful. With 3 shots on target, Ounahi was active in the attempts on goal, thus putting Panserraikos in difficulty. The 24-year-old player also showed himself to be effective in duels, completing 3 dribbling attempts out of 4, and winning 11 ground duels out of 19.
Despite 20 ball losses, Ounahi also contributed significantly defensively, with one interception, 4 tackles and 4 fouls suffered, it is specified. After a complicated adventure in Marseille, the Moroccan midfielder is thus taking a new start in Greece, which promises to be promising.
