Marrakech Residents Defy COVID-19 Lockdown Despite Rising Cases

While Marrakech is one of the cities most affected by the coronavirus, the Marrakchis continue to violate the state of health emergency, thus endangering their lives and those of others.
70 cases of coronavirus contamination and 4 deaths recorded in Marrakech-Safi. This assessment is far from frightening the inhabitants of the ochre city who show an unparalleled irresponsibility. They are constantly violating the state of health emergency decreed in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The awareness campaigns and daily patrols carried out by the security forces have apparently served no purpose.
"Come back quickly, they’ve gone," some Marrakchis shout during a security services tour in which a Barlamane team participated. Some residents flee as soon as they see the security forces, thus exposing themselves even more to the new coronavirus, and also endangering the lives of others.
