Marrakech Police Corruption: Officer Arrested for Bribery
A police officer from the M’hamid district in Marrakech was arrested Wednesday evening. Suspected of corruption, he received money to turn a blind eye to a criminal case. A judicial investigation is underway.
The Regional Judicial Police Brigade took action Wednesday evening. Under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office, investigators caught the suspect red-handed. This officer, stationed at the M’hamid security district, was arrested outside his working hours with a sum of money on him. He had just received this bribe from an individual involved in a criminal case, agreeing to be paid to neglect his duty.
