Marrakech corruption case: MRE arrested after alleged bribe attempt
Two young MRE men, aged 18 and 24, were arrested on Sunday, September 14, in Marrakech. Police services suspect them of dangerous driving on public roads and attempting to bribe officers.
The arrests took place as part of a routine security operation. The suspects, who hold French and Belgian nationalities, were caught in the act while driving two vehicles in a manner deemed dangerous. During the inspection, one of the individuals allegedly offered money to two police officers in exchange for dropping the proceedings.

The two suspects were placed in police custody pending the investigation, which is being conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office. Investigations are continuing to establish all the facts, in accordance with the presumption of innocence.
