Police Commissioner in Morocco Arrested for Alleged Corruption

A police commissioner from the city of Aït Melloul was arrested in flagrant corruption. A judicial investigation is underway to shed light on this case.
Under the supervision of the competent prosecution, the investigation is being conducted by the regional brigade of the judicial police of the city of Marrakech. It was opened on Friday, following a complaint against this police officer, accused of extortion and corruption in a criminal case.
Arrested in flagrante delicto, the defendant was placed in custody, pending the conclusions of the investigation which will shed light on this case. The accused could also be subject to disciplinary sanctions, in accordance with the general status of national security officials.
