In Marrakech, a candidate from "Love Island" imprisoned for drug trafficking

Revealed on the show "Love Island," Cory was allegedly arrested at Marrakech airport in possession of ten kilos of cannabis. The young woman is currently incarcerated in Morocco awaiting trial.

The arrest took place last Thursday at Marrakech-Ménara airport as she was about to travel. According to information from blogger Aqababe relayed by magazine Voici, security services thwarted an "attempted international drug trafficking" involving three passengers.

Ten kilograms of cannabis resin were allegedly discovered during the search. Placed in custody and then transferred to the judicial police, Julian’s ex-partner faced a preliminary hearing on Monday, April 20. The investigation is now focused on identifying the "possible ramifications of this network," while the accused’s brother is working to secure a lawyer as authorities take the matter very seriously.

This particularly serious proceeding adds to an already tarnished judicial history for the young woman, whose defense has not yet commented. In March 2025, she was sentenced by the Pointe-à-Pitre criminal court to a fine of 1,000 euros for "involuntary injuries caused by dog attack." Her animal had violently lunged at a resident, killing the latter’s Bichon.

At the time, the victim testified about her ordeal, explaining that she suffered from severe "psychological depression" and bore a significant scar after fearing she would "die." Facing the risk of an extremely heavy sentence, the former candidate’s future will be decided at a second trial scheduled for next week in Morocco.
