Marrakech Airport Launches Advanced Digital System to Streamline Passenger Experience

Since January 17, Marrakech airport has been equipped with a new airport management system to improve fluidity and minimize disruptions and inconveniences for passengers.
Called "SOAM", Multiplatform Airport Operations System, this process is a multiplatform and multi-device system, designed by airport systems experts. This is a project that is part of the digital transformation strategy of the National Airports Office (ONDA), according to a statement from the management.
Concretely, "SOAM" allows to have, "in an interactive and real-time manner", useful information for the various stakeholders in the passenger value chain as well as for travelers.
The system will also provide the airport with several integrated software applications designed to generate forecast data on flights, which facilitates the planning and most optimal allocation of airport resources (check-in counters, boarding gates, aircraft parking, telescopic bridges...), it is explained.
The objective is to strengthen the operational efficiency of airports and to generate considerable time savings thanks to a better knowledge and evaluation of situations, underlines the same source.
