Man United’s Ten Hag Dismisses Van Basten’s Ziyech Transfer Suggestion

Dutch legend Marco van Basten suggests that Manchester United’s new manager Erik ten Hag recruit Chelsea’s attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech. The latter is on the radar of several European clubs.
"What comes to mind now is that I think Ziyech, who is already playing in England, could be a very good footballer for Manchester United for Erik," Marco Van Basten said during Erik ten Hag’s appearance on the Ziggo Sport "Rondo" show on Monday. However, this suggestion does not particularly excite the new manager of the Red Devils. He did not respond favorably to the suggestion of the former Ajax Amsterdam boss. He says he is already used to dealing with transfer speculation before joining Manchester United.
"Of course, it was already the case at Ajax," said Ten Hag. "You take that into account and then you have to continue to work well with the locker room and with the people of the club." "You have to analyze well and make the right choices," he added. For now, United’s new manager is preparing for the club’s next season. "I will organize the staff, set the schedule and prepare the team for next season," he said.
