Manchester United Leads Race to Sign Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech After World Cup Success
Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech is still on Manchester United’s radar. The club is in a "good position" to sign the Chelsea attacking midfielder.
Manchester United has not forgotten the Hakim Ziyech option, whose performances at the 2022 Qatar World Cup are seducing. While clubs like AC Milan are active in recruiting the Atlas Lion, the English club is in "pole position" after having "knocked on Chelsea’s door" in recent days, reports Calciomercato. The Red Devils need the former Ajax star to strengthen their attack.
In August, coach Erik ten Hag had, according to French journalist Nabil Djellit, wanted Manchester United to sign Chelsea’s attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech, but the members of the club’s recruitment department are not unanimous on the profile of the Moroccan international. The performances of the Atlas Lion would certainly convince Manchester United to sign him in January 2023.
