Man Arrested for False Bomb Threat at Fez-Saïss Airport

Elements of the Prefectural Judicial Police Service of Fez arrested a 45-year-old individual. He would be involved in a case of denunciation of a fictitious terrorist crime.
The accused had called, by telephone, the Command and Coordination Room, under the Prefectural Police of Fez and responsible for receiving citizens’ calls and then managing police interventions on public roads. The person concerned wanted to denounce a fictitious terrorist crime at Fez-Saïss Airport, before hanging up without revealing his identity, according to a press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
According to the investigations carried out, it emerges that the denunciation was false, and that it was a crime that did not take place. The police then arrested the false denouncer. He will then be placed in custody, for the needs of the investigation, conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office.
