Malaga Police Seize €10,000 and Hashish in Vehicle Stop, Two Arrested

Two individuals were arrested by an agent of the Operational Support Group (GOA) of the local police of Malaga (Spain). The accused were in possession of over 10,000 euros as well as drugs.

According to a statement from the local police, the two individuals were brought to justice as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health, after being caught with more than 10,000 euros and nearly a hundred grams of hashish in their vehicle.

The facts date back to January 15 on Miguel Hernández street in Malaga. Around 9:15 pm, "local police officers from a GOA team, patrolling in a police van, stopped a vehicle with two occupants, as part of a deployment in the area," reports elmira.es.

The police found that the driver of the vehicle, a 23-year-old Danish man, did not have his driver’s license in the traffic database. But according to him, he did not have the document on him, as he was under an administrative sanction. After conducting searches, the police found his 24-year-old Moroccan-Spanish accomplice, also domiciled in Malaga, carrying 10,375 euros in a shoulder bag. The GOA agents also found a piece of hashish weighing 95.60 grams, hidden in the gear lever area, in a mobile phone box.

As for the vehicle, it was registered in the name of a third person. So much evidence that these two individuals, according to the police, were acting illegally. The GOA agents arrested the two accused, who were then brought to justice.
