Major Moroccan Drug Lord Arrested in Gendarmerie Sting Operation

A man actively wanted for drug trafficking was arrested near Oued Loukous, in the Ksar El Kebir region. Considered one of the biggest hard drug traffickers in the country, he was the subject of fifteen national arrest warrants.
It was thanks to a meticulously prepared stratagem by the Royal Gendarmerie of Ksar El Kebir that the suspect was apprehended. During his arrest, the law enforcement officers found a significant quantity of illicit substances on him: nearly 47 grams of heroin, 14 grams of cocaine, a karkoubi slab, as well as a large sword and a small scale used to weigh the drugs.
The gendarmes also seized a motorcycle used for drug trafficking, as well as 300 dirhams from this activity. The suspect was taken into custody pending his trial, under the supervision of the public prosecutor.
