Moroccan Authorities Capture Notorious Drug Lord After 7-Year Manhunt

The gendarmerie services under the regional command of Kénitra have put an end to the flight of the biggest baron of the Gharb who had been on the run since 2016.

Targeted by several wanted notices from several local and national security services, the notorious drug trafficker in the Gharb region nicknamed Lakraa was arrested in the locality of Kceibya in the vicinity of Kénitra, reports Al Akhbar. He had been on the run since 2016, and would have spent more than four years abroad before returning discreetly to Morocco where he resumed his drug trafficking activities, confide sources close to the investigation. He would have extended his networks from his traditional strongholds in the Gharb region and Moulay Bousselham to the various access to the sea in the south of the kingdom.
