Major Drug Bust: 1.5 Tons of Cannabis and Tobacco Seized on Moroccan Highway

A large shipment of drugs well hidden in a car coming from the northern cities was seized on Sunday. The owners were apprehended.

It all started with the suspicious vehicle, intercepted by motorcycle gendarmes traveling on the Casablanca-Marrakech highway, reports Barlamane.

The search of the vehicle made it possible to seize the merchandise of nearly a ton and a half of cannabis and tobacco leaves.

Arrested after a chase, the suspects were taken into custody.
