Major Drug Bust at Morocco-Spain Border: 42kg Cannabis Seized, Three Arrested

During two separate operations, customs elements in coordination with the police at the Bab Sebta crossing point foiled attempts to traffic a significant quantity of drugs and arrested two German women and a Moroccan residing in Spain.
According to a customs source, the elements of the joint customs and police control brigade operating at the Bab Sebta crossing point arrested, on Friday, September 2, two young German women, in possession of 42 kg of cannabis resin in the form of tablets, reports the MAP. This quantity of drugs was carefully hidden inside cavities near the engine of a light vehicle registered in Germany, it is specified.
The second operation took place on Saturday, September 2 and resulted in the thwarting of an attempt to traffic 137 kg of cannabis on board a vehicle registered in Spain. Still on the same day, the elements of the joint brigade, during a thorough inspection of a vehicle driven by a Spanish national of Moroccan origin, proceeded to seize a quantity of drugs carefully hidden inside specially arranged cavities at the level of the dashboard, under the seats and the two sides of the car.
In order to further the investigation, all the apprehended suspects were handed over to the judicial police of Tetouan.
