Spanish-Moroccan Man Arrested at Border for Smuggling 1,800 Psychotropic Pills

On Monday, a Spanish national of Moroccan origin was arrested, suspected of being involved in drug trafficking, by the control services at Bab Sebta, in northern Morocco.
According to a customs source quoted by the MAP, the arrest of the 62-year-old suspect took place during the inspection of vehicles at the Bab Sebta crossing.
In total, 1800 psychotropic tablets of the "Rivotril" type were found after a search of the car that was about to enter the national territory, the same source specifies, adding that the drugs were hidden in a cavity behind the dashboard.
The suspect was taken into custody, pending an investigation by the competent prosecutor’s office, in order to determine the ramifications of this criminal activity.
