Moroccan Customs Seize €38,900 in Undeclared Cash at Spanish Border Crossing

An attempt to traffic in foreign currency was thwarted on Saturday evening by the customs services operating at Bab Sebta, in northern Morocco.
According to a customs source quoted by the Map, "the customs services at the Bab Sebta crossing point seized 38,900 euros, in possession of a Moroccan residing abroad on board a vehicle registered in France, who was trying to introduce it into the national territory". The latter had not previously made any declaration to the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration (ADII) and "without respecting the legal procedures in force".
And to add that a report of hearing and seizure was drawn up by the customs services against the person concerned, in accordance with the legal procedures in force.
