Major Drug Bust: 68kg Cannabis, Cocaine Seized from Moroccan Traffickers in French Raid

Police officers from the Vénissieux police station seized large quantities of cannabis and cocaine originating from Morocco and arrested four Moroccan drug traffickers. The suspects were presented to the public prosecutor’s office on Saturday, January 30.
The police operation took place on Tuesday, January 26, in an apartment in Saint-Fons. During this search, in connection with a trafficking operation on Boulevard Lénine in Vénissieux, in the Darnaise district of Les Minguettes, the law enforcement authorities seized no less than 68 kg of cannabis resin, 2.5 kg of cannabis herb, more than 360 g of cocaine as well as 11,000 €, reports Le Progrès. Two vehicles were also seized.
Similarly, the police arrested four Moroccan traffickers aged 20 to 36 residing in Cavaillon in the Vaucluse. During their custody, they specified that the products came from Morocco via a passage through Spain.
