French Police Seize 250 kg of Moroccan Cannabis Near Spanish Border

Elements of the Saint-Gaudens gendarmerie company, near Toulouse, arrested on Monday an individual transporting 250 kilos of cannabis resin in a truck from Spain. The drug comes from Morocco.
The suspect was apprehended during a routine check carried out by the agents at the Lestelle toll booth in Saint-Gaudens, on the A64, reports La Dépêche. His suspicious behavior at the wheel of the truck prompted the agents to carry out a thorough search of his cargo, thus discovering nearly 250 kilos of cannabis resin.
The quadragenarian, coming from Spain, was taken into custody at the research brigade of the Saint-Gaudens company, on the instructions of the city prosecutor. His interrogation should make it possible to know the origin and destination of the seized drug. For the moment, the police assume that the drug would come from Morocco and would be intended for the Toulouse market.
