Major Cannabis Trafficking Ring Busted in France: 8 Indicted for Moroccan Drug Imports

A French investigating judge has indicted eight alleged traffickers belonging to a Moroccan cannabis trafficking network.
According to a judicial source, a cannabis import network was dismantled in the Île-de-France region and eight people, suspected of belonging to a major drug trafficking network, were indicted for multiple offenses: organized drug importation, possession, supply, transportation, drug trafficking, criminal conspiracy and aggravated money laundering," reports AFP. Seven of them were incarcerated, including one pending a later debate on his pre-trial detention, and another was placed under judicial supervision, adds the same source.
The investigators of the judicial police in Evry had arrested, on Thursday, December 10, eight individuals belonging to the same network, in Val-de-Marne, Seine-Saint-Denis and Seine-et-Marne. They also seized a ton of cannabis from Morocco that had transited through Spain, 650,000 euros in cash, three handguns, vehicles and luxury watches worth more than 200,000 euros.
