Major Development Projects in Al Hoceima, Morocco Set for Completion in 2023

The Agency for the Promotion and Development of the North (APDN) has evaluated the progress of the work on several major construction sites of the "Al Hoceima, Manarat Al Moutawassit" spatial development program. It is satisfied with the level of execution and announces the completion of the work for this year.

The construction and equipment works are progressing at a sustained pace, observes the Agency for the Promotion and Development of the North (APDN). In a press release, the APDN estimates that the contractual deadline will be met by the contractors in accordance with the established schedule and projects the completion of the work for the end of this year.

The team inspecting the work included the Wali of the Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region, Mohamed Mhidia, the governor of the province of Al Hoceima, Farid Chourak and the general director of the APDN, Mounir El Bouyoussfi. Last Thursday, in the presence of a delegation of responsible architects and heads of design offices and companies, they visited the construction sites to inquire about their level of realization.

These construction sites, which are projects contained in a program, concern the Grand Theater, the Conservatory of Music, the Mediterranean Center of the Sea of Al Hoceima, the Provincial Hospital Center of Ait Youssef Ou Ali and the sports city of Ait Kamra, which includes a large football field, a swimming pool and a covered hall.

According to the press release, these projects should contribute to strengthening territorial attractiveness and achieving economic and social development at the level of the province of Al Hoceima.

The APDN is committed to studying the management methods of these sports and cultural infrastructures and the means likely to make them a lever for territorial development at the level of the city of Al Hoceima and the surrounding municipalities, in accordance with the objectives of the "Al Hoceima, Manarat Al Moutawassit" spatial development program.
