Launched in October 2015, this program has benefited from a budget of 7.2 billion dirhams for its implementation, of which 6.5 billion dirhams come from the Al Hoceima development program, while the rest of the budget has been the subject of complementary programs financed by the various sectors concerned, according to a joint press release from the province of Al Hoceima and the Agency for the Promotion and Development of the North (APDN).
By sector, there are 536 social projects, 139 economic projects, 87 environmental and risk management projects, 95 infrastructure projects and 62 territorial upgrading projects, as well as 6 religious/cultural projects. All of this was carried out on an area of 200 hectares.
The press release further states that 17 projects are currently underway, including the Grand Stadium of Al Hoceima, the new provincial hospital center, the covered hall, the Olympic swimming pool or the Mediterranean Sea Center. The completion of the work and the delivery of these projects are scheduled for next June.
