While the health crisis has dealt a serious blow to the automotive market, it has not dampened the enthusiasm of Moroccans for luxury cars.
Despite the exceptional circumstances that have hit many Moroccans hard, globally renowned car brands continue to be in high demand.
According to the report of the Association of Automobile Importers in Morocco, no less than 8,000 luxury cars were ordered in Morocco in 2020, with a preference for British brands, "Range Rover" and "Jaguar".
They are followed by the Swedish "Volvo" and German cars (Mercedes, BMW and Audi), the report notes, however, that the automotive sales market has seen a 40% drop compared to 2019.
