Morocco’s New Car Sales Drop 22.3% in First 11 Months of 2020, AIVAM Reports

The latest figures from the Association of Automobile Importers in Morocco (AIVAM) indicate that passenger car sales fell by 6.25% (11,071 units) compared to those of November 2019.
According to AIVAM, new car sales amounted to 111,882 units at the end of the first eleven months of 2020, down 22.3% compared to the end of November 2019. Passenger cars thus recorded a 23.57% drop (97,842 units) while light commercial vehicles fell by 12.09% (14,040 units).
Brands whose sales are down: Toyota (-37.68%), Renault (-37.3%), Nissan (-34.96%), Citroën (-34.39%), Volkswagen (-24.53%). Conversely, the Opel and Kia brands are doing better with respective increases since the beginning of the year of 42.84% and 30.02%.
