Laayoune Prison Denies Inmate Death Rumors, Calls Reports ’False’

The information that circulated about the death of an inmate in the Laayoune prison would only be pure speculation. This is what the administration of the penitentiary institution has just affirmed in a press release.
In a clarification made public on Friday, the administrative authorities of the Laayoune prison denied the information relayed by local news sites and social networks about the alleged death of an inmate of the local prison.
According to the MAP, the administration stressed that "the people behind these false rumors are essentially aimed at damaging the image of the institution with the public by circulating erroneous data, and sowing discord among the inmates and their families".
While recalling the sacred nature of life, the administration of the local prison called on the various media to ensure the veracity of the information received before publishing it.
