King Mohammed VI to Inaugurate Landmark Tower in Rabat-Salé
King Mohammed VI is expected to inaugurate the eponymous Tower, located between Rabat and Salé, on the banks of the Bouregreg River, in the coming days. The authorities of Salé are preparing to welcome the Sovereign.
The local authorities of Salé are busy preparing a warm welcome for King Mohammed VI, who is expected to inaugurate the Tower that bears his name. On Friday, the presidents of the city’s four districts held a meeting attended by representatives of civil society. The objective is to mobilize all stakeholders to ensure the success of this royal visit.
According to Rue20, the Mohammed VI Tower, located on the banks of the Bouregreg River, is expected to be inaugurated in the coming days. Project managers have recently signed contracts with cleaning companies to carry out general maintenance of the jewel before its inauguration, reports the same source.
With a height of 250 meters, the Mohammed VI Tower spans a total area of 102,800 square meters. It includes a luxury hotel, modern offices, and high-end apartments. Visitors and residents of the Tower will be able to enjoy boat rides on the Bouregreg River, where a small port has been built in front of the main entrance.
The realization of this megaproject required an investment of at least 3.5 billion dirhams. Recently, "O Tower", the company in charge of the Mohammed VI Tower, and the international Hilton group signed an agreement for the management of a luxury hotel called Waldorf Astoria, housed in the Tower.
