King Mohammed VI’s Visit to Al Hoceima Sparks City-Wide Preparations

King Mohammed VI is expected to visit Al Hoceima in the coming weeks, likely after the celebration of the Throne Day and the Allegiance ceremony. The city authorities are preparing to give the Sovereign a warm welcome.
Sources confirmed the information to the Rue20 website, indicating that they have noticed the start of renovation work on King Mohammed VI’s residence, on "Boussekour" beach in the commune of Izmouren.
Similarly, the authorities of Al Hoceima have launched in recent days a campaign to clear public spaces as well as beaches such as Cala Bonita and the Sabadia corniche.
The "Tala Youssef" beach is partly occupied by a tourism project and illegal parking lots, while those of Cala Boninta, Quemado, Matadero, are invaded by renters of chairs, tables and parasols.
Other beaches have been transformed into private "ports" for renting yachts and jet-skis, threatening the safety of summer visitors.
