Tangier Authorities Clear Beaches of Illegal Parasol Rentals Ahead of Summer Season

On Sunday, local authorities in the city of Tangier conducted a large-scale campaign to clear the maritime domain illegally occupied by parasol and chair renters, in preparation for the summer season.
On the instruction of the wali of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, the operation was carried out on the beaches of Ghandouri and Malabata and led to the seizure of dozens of parasols and chairs illegally installed on these maritime domains.
Wali Younès Tazi also asked the authority agents (caids and pashas) to arrest anyone involved in renting parasols and chairs, particularly on the Tangier corniche.
This operation was supervised by the pasha of the Maghogha area. These parasol and chair renters who illegally exploit these beaches have been given formal notice to vacate the premises without delay. Any offender is subject to legal prosecution.
