King Mohammed VI Appoints Experts to Morocco's Top Education Council

King Mohammed VI proceeded on Wednesday to appoint the members of the Higher Council of Education, Training and Scientific Research (CSEFES). This body composed of 20 members aims to define public policies in this crucial sector.

After appointing Habib El Malki as president of the Council, the sovereign designated the members who will sit within this advisory institution, indicates a royal communiqué, specifying that they are experts and specialists, recognized for their expertise and competence in the fields of education, training, scientific research and culture.

These promotions, the same source points out, are proposed by the government and certain national institutions and bodies. It also includes two members from each of the two Chambers of Parliament, as well as representatives of the teachers’ unions and other members appointed by the Head of Government.

The objective is to renew the composition of the council and enable it to fulfill the missions entrusted to it by the Constitution, in particular through opinions on public policies concerning education, training and scientific research and the evaluation of public policies and programs in this crucial sector, in order to promote the Moroccan school, offer quality education to all and ensure equity and equal opportunities in this field.

Thus, the Higher Council of Education, Training and Scientific Research (CSEFES) includes Jamil Salmi, Amina Lemrini El Ouahabi, Amine Bensaïd, Youssef Saadani Hassani, Assia Akesbi Msefer, Mohamed Sghir Janjar, Hamid Bouchikhi, Mohamed Bernoussi, Aïcha El Hajjami, Laila Bensliman, Mokhtari Kouider, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, Salah El Ouadie, Fouad Chafiki, Jamal Belahrech, Moulay Driss Alaoui, Mohamed Amine Sbihi, Mohamed Slassi Sennou, Rachid Benzine and Fatima Zahra Biaz.
