Kénitra Hosts Dialogue with Moroccan Expatriates on National Migrant Day

As part of National Migrant Day, a communication was organized for the benefit of Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) on Monday in Kénitra.
This meeting initiated by the province of Kénitra aims to create a space for dialogue with MREs in order to better understand their situation, take note of their needs, in order to know how to meet their expectations in the various fields. In his speech, the governor of the province of Kénitra, Fouad M’Hamdi, indicated that this day, instituted by King Mohammed VI, is "an opportunity that can help highlight the achievements and aspirations of MREs, shed light on their significant contributions to the various development projects in Morocco", reports the MAP.
This event is also an opportunity to "strengthen the ties between Moroccans in the world with their country of origin and to highlight their roles in the service of the socio-economic development that the country is experiencing". Addressing the MREs, the provincial delegate of Health, Mahmoud Berrahal, stressed the need to "respect the barrier measures to avoid any risk of contamination by the virus". As for the head of economic affairs and coordination in the province of Kénitra, Adil El Khoutabi, he indicated that stands and external services arranged to access the requests and affairs of the MREs have been set up.
During its 8th meeting held on July 10, 2020 in Rabat, the Ministerial Commission for MRE and Migration Affairs recommended "the implementation of measures to establish a social protection system for Moroccans residing in countries that do not have cooperation agreements with Morocco in this area," the same source said.
