Kenitra Grapples with Surge in Violent Crime as Two Killed, Officer Injured

Violence is raging in Kenitra. Two people were killed in less than a week in the city. A police officer was injured in the Al Hancha Bir Arrami area while on a mission with his colleagues.
Is the city of Kenitra plunged into a spiral of violence? On Tuesday, three angry individuals attacked and stabbed a bus driver in the Ouled Arfa area, reports Al Massae. The young man did not survive. 48 hours earlier, a minor died following a violent confrontation with his neighbor. The people involved in these acts of violence were arrested by the judicial police of the city. An investigation is ongoing.
Another incident: police officers on a mission in the Al Hancha Bir Arrami area were attacked by individuals. One of the policemen narrowly escaped death. He was injured in the head and nose. The wilaya had to launch an operation to arrest all the people involved in this assault.
Faced with the multiplication of these crimes and acts of violence, the inhabitants and components of Kenitra’s civil society have called for strengthening security in the city. They have also launched awareness campaigns on social networks. They call for the involvement of all.
