Juventus Wary of Sevilla’s En-Nesyri Ahead of Europa League Semi-Final

With 14 goals scored in all competitions (Liga, Copa del Rey and Europa League), Youssef En-Nesyri is one of Sevilla’s top scorers this season. The Moroccan striker is greatly feared by Juventus, Sevilla’s opponent in the Europa League semi-finals.
Sevilla faces Juventus in the first leg of the Europa League semi-finals on May 11. The Italian club fears the Moroccan striker of Sevilla who remains one of the key players of the club. En-Nesyri was the main architect of Sevilla’s victory against Manchester United with his brace that qualified the team for the Europa League semi-finals. His decisive goal against Villareal (2-1) in the Liga also allowed the club to move away from relegation, recalls Sport.es.
With his great form this season, and especially since his return from the World Cup, the Moroccan striker has rediscovered his scoring touch and is approaching his record of 24 goals scored in all competitions, including 18 in the Liga during the 2020-2021 season, his first at Sevilla. According to some media close to the club, En-Nesyri is determined to keep the promise he made to Monchi, Sevilla’s sporting director, to score the 20 goals that former coach Sampaoli required of him before the end of the 2022-23 season.
"He already scored 24 goals in his first season at FC Sevilla... He arrived with a lot of motivation after the World Cup, there were important offers concerning him and he did not want to leave because he wanted to show his commitment to the team," Monchi explained in February. The Moroccan international rejected the tempting offer from West Ham during the January transfer window, assuring that he did not want to leave Sevilla "in the worst moments".
