Europa League Final: Roma Wary of Sevilla’s In-Form Striker En-Nesyri

FC Seville and AS Roma face each other this Wednesday in the Europa League final. Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri, the main architect of Seville’s run in the competition, will try to score more goals tonight to give his team a historic victory.
In a press conference held on Tuesday, José Mourinho stated that En-Nesyri is the main threat to Roma tonight. The Italian team knows well the striking power of the Moroccan striker who scored a goal and an assist in the only official match against Seville (0-2), in Duisburg in the final phase of the Europa League in August 2020.
After a small slump, Youssef En-Nesyri has regained his great form this season. The Moroccan player, who had only scored two goals before leaving for the World Cup in Qatar with Morocco, now has around twenty goals, across all competitions, a performance close to the 25 goals scored during his first season at Seville in 2020/2021.
During the World Cup, Youssef En-Nesyri scored the decisive goal against Portugal in the quarter-finals, propelling Morocco into the semi-finals, a level never reached by an African team. While he was in poor form, Monchi had decided to part ways with him.
Several Premier League clubs, interested in the player, have made interesting offers. This is the case of West Ham who was ready to spend 25 million euros to sign En-Nesyri. But the Moroccan striker declined the offer and indicated that he did not want to leave Seville "in the worst moments". The club was on the verge of relegation.
