Israeli Foreign Minister to Inaugurate Diplomatic Mission in Morocco

Moroccan and Israeli authorities are working to prepare the first official visit to Morocco of Yaïr Lapid, Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs. He is expected in the kingdom on August 11, where he will proceed to the inauguration of the Israeli diplomatic mission.
"The two parties are actively preparing this visit," says a diplomatic source to Le360, specifying that the program of the visit of the head of Israeli diplomacy to Morocco is not yet finalized. On the agenda: the inauguration of the Israeli diplomatic mission in Rabat and a meeting with his Moroccan counterpart Nasser Bourita. The latter had also received an invitation from Yaïr Lapid to visit Israel soon.
"The Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Alon Ushpiz, has handed me a letter to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Morocco, Nasser Bourita, inviting him to make the first official visit of a Moroccan diplomatic chief to Israel," the Israeli Foreign Minister had tweeted, adding that the Moroccan Foreign Minister would come after his visit to Israel to open a representative office there.
