Israeli Foreign Minister Visits Morocco to Open Diplomatic Mission, Praises King’s Vision

Yaïr Lapid, the Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs, is visiting Morocco on Wednesday and Thursday, where he will inaugurate the Israeli diplomatic mission. In a message, he saluted King Mohammed VI for "his courage and vision".
"We will go to Morocco tomorrow (Wednesday, August 11) for a historic visit. We will inaugurate the Israeli liaison office in Rabat and visit Casablanca [...] I salute His Majesty King Mohammed VI for his courage and vision. We will work with his team to create a dynamic of economic, tourist and cultural cooperation worthy of the deep historical relations between our two countries," tweeted the head of Israeli diplomacy on Tuesday.
Since the normalization of diplomatic relations between Rabat and Tel Aviv, this is the first time that an Israeli Foreign Minister has visited Morocco. For Yaïr Lapid, this historic trip is the continuation of a long-standing friendship. "It’s time to take action on economic policy and [...] conclude agreements that will bring innovation and opportunities to our two countries," he said.
